A meshfree-based topology optimization approach without calculation of sensitivity

چکیده

This paper presents a novel topology optimization approach without calculation of sensitivity for the minimum compliance problems, based on meshfree Radial Point Interpolation Method (RPIM). Relying algorithm Proportional Topology Optimization (PTO), material is distributed using only information objective function (which elastic strain energy). Material properties are interpolated by well-known Solid Isotropic with Penalization (SIMP) technique; however pseudo density (design variables) not defined element center as usually encountered in finite element-based approaches, but integration points. Since no exists analysis, this would be natural choice. More importantly, number points general larger than that elements or nodes, resulting higher resolution field. The feasibility and efficiency proposed demonstrated discussed via several numerical examples.
